Home Health Aide
Our Home Health Aide (HHA) services provide compassionate, hands-on support to help patients with essential daily activities while they recover or manage health conditions at home. Our certified aides work under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist to ensure care is both safe and personalized.
Home Health Aide Services Include:
Personal Care Assistance- Help with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting to maintain hygiene and dignity.
Mobility Support- Assisting with walking, transferring from bed to chair, and repositioning to prevent bedsores.
Meal Preparation & Feeding Assistance- Preparing nutritious meals and helping patients eat if needed, following dietary guidelines.
Monitoring & Reporting- Observing changes in condition and reporting them to the nurse or therapist.
Basic Health Support- Checking vital signs, assisting with simple exercises, and following care plans.
Companionship & Emotional Support- Providing a friendly presence to reduce isolation and promote mental well-being.
Depending on your needs, your aide may help with:
Bathing or showering
Dressing and grooming
Oral hygiene
Hair and skin care
Toileting and incontinence care
They are trained to provide care with dignity, respect, and privacy.
If part of your care plan, the aide can:
Prepare light meals or snacks
Assist with feeding, if needed
Encourage proper hydration and nutrition
To keep you moving safely, your HHA may:
Assist with walking, transfers, or repositioning
Help you in and out of bed or chairs
Encourage gentle activity as directed by your therapist or nurse
They may also help with:
Making the bed
Tidying your living space
Laundry or dishwashing (light tasks only)
Note: Housekeeping is limited to patient-related areas/tasks only.
While they’re not medical professionals, HHAs are trained to:
Observe changes in your condition
Report concerns to the nurse or care team
Support emotional well-being through companionship
